From Surviving To Thriving
Partnering with the Maasai community of Rombo Kenya to champion local voices, preserve cultural identity, and build sustainable livelihoods
Empowering Maasai youth and families through education, food security, and leadership since 2003
Two primary schools were established, offering education and hope for a new generation.
Through two primary schools, secondary school support, and vocational training, we invest in education while building long-term resilience through emergency food relief, women’s economic empowerment, and sustainable farming.
Rooted in Community. Built for Impact.
ADEA Foundation began with one question: How do we support the Rombo community through seasons of hardship and transition without erasing who they are? Since 2003, we’ve walked alongside Maasai leaders to respond to challenges like land loss, recurring droughts, and economic disruption. Our early work focused on building schools, addressing food insecurity, and preserving dignity in crisis. Beginning in 2020, because of COVID lockdowns, ensuing years of drought and government land division ,we have focused our efforts to directly support Maasai youth. This next generation must be equipped with the skills, confidence to lead, and cultural pride needed to succeed in a changing world.
Behind Every Strong Leader Is Someone Who Believed in Them. Be That Person for the Maasai in Rombo
How We Transform Hardships With Hope
Powered by the Maasai Youth Development Fund, our programs are stepping stones that help youth face challenges, stay rooted in identity, and grow through learning and discovery into confident leaders for a changing world.
Leadership Development
From Mentorships with professionals to Life Skills Workshops on time management, anti-corruption, and Confidence-Building, we prepare the Maasai youth to lead with vision and integrity.
Academic & Performance Support
Through initiatives such as Keep Kids in School and Bright Future Clubs, we help students achieve high school graduation by covering school fees and providing academic support.
Vocational Training & Practical Workshops
Through programs like English Language Training, Computer Literacy, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and by 2026, Fashion and Gift Item Production, we equip youth with in-demand skills.
Beads For Fees
This initiative empowers Maasai mothers to support their children’s education through beadwork. Parents generate income, stay connected to their children’s progress, and pass on cultural knowledge.
